Specializing in child/adolescent and adult psychiatry, Dr. Yankı Yazgan (1959) continued his education and research studies as a professor at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine and as a lecturer at Yale Child Study Center.
He spent his childhood and youth years in Izmir. He studied at Bornova Anatolian Middle School, Ankara Science High School, Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (specialization in psychiatry) and Yale School of Medicine (further specialization in child and adolescent psychiatry).
His focus areas in clinical practice and scientific research are the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders and the applications of multimodal treatments. He has written many national and international peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and book chapters, as well as "popular science"-based articles and books that aim to be understood and used by everyone in the field of brain sciences and psychiatry.
Dr. Ramin Yazdanpanah works as the Director of FULL CIRCLE Language Learning, LLC. He holds a doctorate from Florida State University for his research on developing intercultural competence within English language teacher programs through focused intercultural exchanges with English language learners. He has over twenty years of experience as an English language teacher, and over a decade of experience as a teacher educator.
Dr. Yazdanpanah served as the TEFL-Certificate Program Director at the Center for Intensive Studies at Florida State University. He was awarded a Fellowship with the U.S. State Department in Vietnam, where he taught and developed courses and curriculum at Thai Nguyen University and facilitated workshops throughout the country. He continues to serve as a consultant to the U.S. State Department’s English Language Programs, as well with the Learning Systems Institute at Florida State University, the TESOL International Association, and the Florida Department of Education.
Dr. Yazdanpanah has delivered numerous presentations and workshops on English language teaching and research, and served as the Chair for the TESOL-Intercultural Interest Section (ICIS). In addition to his academic work, he also facilitates intercultural education through music performances and workshops in the United States and internationally. Dr. Ramin Yazdanpanah brings his experience and expertise in foreign and second language teaching, teacher education, and intercultural competence and communication program development.
